Rebecca, by Daphne du Maurier.  Written in 1938, this classic gothic tale of suspense has been on my reading list for years.  The suspense has developed slowly at first but by halfway through the novel, it is hard to put down.  This setting is the foggy and hilly climate of Cornwall, in England.  I want to go visit!   S.
